2/20/23: New meeting place: Fulton County Museum and Welcome Center. 8848 State Hwy 108, Wauseon, OH 43567. The meeting was called to order at 7:27 pm by Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG) with 20 members and one guest in attendance, introductions were made and the pledge of allegiance was given by all.

Treasurer's Report: presented by W8TUX. Motion to approve: KG8FM/KC8HDG.

Bills to Present: $21.25 to KD8KBU for Domain renewal. Motion to approve: KC8PCU/KE8QJU

 

FCARC radio equipment:

• FCARC has obsolete radio equipment--KB8ELG plans to bring to next meeting.

• Plans to purchase a new HF field rig FCARC:

  • Icom 718? Yaesu DX10? Kenwood TS590?

• New radio at Fulton County EMA office:

  • Yaesu 991A? ~$1250? Icom 7300? ~$1000? Buy laptop to go with?

• Suggestion to have FB poll as one means for members to vote which radios to purchase

• Equipment donation not been received from Delta yet.

Repeater Maintenance: Duplexers getting older-- replace? ~$2500. KB8ELG plans to acquire quotes.

VE/Education Committee: Fulton County Museum Welcome Center new site for monthly VE testing.

Fox Hunt: 2/19/23. 8 attendees. KB8ELG was Fox. W8SRD and KE8VHS found the fox first, but KE8QJV and KE8SZL had the least mileage thus won the trophy. Next Fox Hunt TBD.

Simplex Emergency Test: 3/25/23 1:00PM. Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Contact KE8ITJ if interested in helping.

Power supply class: Saturday March 25, 1030 AM. Fulton County Museum and Welcome Center. 8848 State Hwy 108, Wauseon, OH 43567 Presented by KB8ELG.

Summer Hamfest: will continue at the Woodlot. More “relaxed” hamfest.

Summer Field Day: 4^th Saturday in June at the Woodlot.

2023 Christmas Party: FCARC 2023 Christmas Party will be held at the Blue Ribbon Diner in Wauseon.

VP: KD8ZKE has stepped down from FCARC VP per work commitments. KE8QJV expressed interest. Per KB8ELG, KE8QJV is interim VP until next election.

Lifetime dues: referenced club bylaws, how to amend. KE8ITJ/KG8FM will draft amendment to be voted upon.

VE Testing: The club gives testing at 9:00 am the last Saturday of each month at the Fulton County Museum and Welcome Center. 8848 State Hwy 108, Wauseon, OH 43567. Contact Sandra Schwind KE8UTX if interested. Her email address can be found on the k8bxq.org website under the VE Testing section.
