Dale G. Little, of Delta, Ohio, who for over 40 years answered to call sign “N8MI,” was called home on February 1, 2017, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.  Dale was born on March 23, 1938, in Jackson, Michigan, and grew up in Toledo, Ohio. He was a proud graduate of Irving E. Macomber High School. On September 20, 1958, he married Joann Burch and she survives. Dale had a very successful 40-year career with AT&T (formerly Ohio Bell), retiring in 1995. In retirement, Dale was able to enjoy his many hobbies. Of them all, he most loved traveling the country with his wife in their 30-foot fifth-wheel travel trailer. And of all the destinations, Lakeland, Florida, was the favorite. There, he was able to watch countless spring training games for his most beloved baseball team, the Detroit Tigers. When not long-distance traveling, Dale loved spending time at his Figy’s Point cottage on glorious Posey Lake (Hudson, Michigan). Dale was an avid golfer, fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved spending time in his professional woodworking shop, making furniture and cabinetry for his two homes. He was a member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), a professional organization connecting amateur radio operators around the country. When he wasn’t “playing radio,” Dale was an instructor, teaching others Morse code. Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Joann. Two daughters: Beth (Pete) Carr and Jill (Douglas) Roloff, both of Wauseon, Ohio. Grandchildren: Tiffany (Jesse) Pike of West Unity, Ohio; Nicholas P. Carr of Whitehouse, Ohio; Paige (Nick) Stuart of North Olmstead, Ohio; Samantha E. Carr, Wauseon; and Andrew Roloff, Wauseon. Great grandchildren: Madilyn and Evelyn Pike and Oakleigh Stuart.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta.  A celebration of Dale’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the East Chesterfield Christian Church in Lyons, Ohio, with Reverend Floyd Vincent officiating. Interment will be held prior to the service at 9:30 AM on Saturday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.  At Dale’s request, his final resting place will be between his two homes at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Morenci, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, please join us for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, slated for October 7, 2017, in Toledo, Ohio.
