September 2020 Minutes

The meeting was called to order with 12 members in attendance.

New Business: 

We are looking for a new recording secretary for the club after the first of the year. Craig (KD8KBU) will be fulfilling the need of our online presence, managing the website, and assisting with the social media accounts, but will be seeking re-election after his term. The major aspects of the position are:

  • Record Proceedings of Stated and Special Meetings
  • Maintain Membership List
  • Communications
  • Publish Hamfest Flyers

Open discussion on the new world of DMR: 

Bill KD8WSL made a motion to allocate $1000 for the integration of DMR to the K8BXQ 147.195 repeater. Larry KD8PUD 2nd the proposal. A vote was taken, motion was passed by 100%. Kim KE8ITJ will be heading up the program.

Maintenance work on the repeater shed is set for Oct-11-2020 just after breakfast at the 109 restaurants.

A fox hunt is to be held on Oct-18th-2020 at 1PM local time. All participants are to meet at the county admin building at 1PM. Operations will be held on 146.460 mc simplex FM.

The meeting was called to order at 7:31 pm by KB8ELG, who welcomed everyone. Committee reports follow

Members in Distress: K8JPD's health is in decline.  KB8ELG has requested everyone to keep him in their thoughts. 

Treasures Report: KB8ELH presented the financial report.  A motion was made by to W8TUX accept, seconded by KG8FM. All accepted. 

Bill to present: WD8KRS presented a bill for $134.06 for field day/expenses.  A motion to accept was made by WB8ZOI and seconded by KE8BHW. All were in favor.

Repeater Committee: Reports on some de-sense during random times of the day.

Winter Hamfest: December 5, 2020 @ the Village of Delta Memorial Hall.

Field Day: Results have been posted on the club website.

Emergency Services: W8TUX has postponed plans for an emergency services deployment exercise until his work schedule is less hectic.

Stated Club Meeting June 15, 2020

The meeting was called to order at 7:22 pm by KB8ELG, who welcomed everyone to the return of our in-person meetings. Committee reports follow

Treasures Report: KB8ELH was unable to attend this evening but provided a summary account report read by KB8ELG, not corrections or discussion was requested.

Repeater Committee: AC has been turned on at the main repeater shed, the exterior improvements made last year are holding well and the building is dry inside.

Summer Hamfest: KB8ELG gave a summary of the Hamfest financial report which follows.

Income: 753

  • Ticket Sales: 490

  • 50/50: 140

  • Donations: 100

  • Food: 23

Expenses: 202.45

  • ppe: 107

  • door prizes: 95.45

Net Gain: 550.55

There was brief discussion that depending on opening phases for the state of Ohio due to the current pandemic, the summer Swap for June may need to be rescheduled or cancelled outright.  We’ll keep the club members and guests informed.

Members in Distress: Keith Hosman (KC8TCQ) reported a silent key, Lowell Pfau (W8FGN) passed away, while not a club member, he resided just south of Fulton County in New Bavaria/Henry County.

The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm by Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG) with 15 members and guests in attendance, the pledge of allegiance was given by all.

Members in Distress: nothing to report

Treasurers Report: The report was given and a motion was made by KD8WSL and seconded by KD8BHW. All present were in favor.

Bills to Present: Two bills were presented.  The first by KD8KBU for $25 for reimbursement for renewing the Clubs non-profit status with the state of Ohio.  A motion was made to reimburse KD8KBU by KC8UQU and seconded by KC8PCU, all were in favor. A second bill was presented for reimbursement of office supply expenses to KB8ELG.  A motion to reimburse him was made by WB8ZOI and seconded by KD8WSL, all were in favor.

The meeting was called to order at 7:33pm by Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG) with 13 members in attendance, the pledge of allegiance was given by all.
 
Members in Distress:

  • Bev Walworth (KC8UJC) has spent the past couple of weeks at St Lukes but is set to be transferred back to Fulton County.

  • Andy Odum's (KC8RU) sister passed away on 10/21.

  • Allen Nash (KC8UQU) goes in for scheduled surgery next Monday for hip replacement.

  • John Meyer (KD8ZKE) goes in for scheduled surgery on November 11 for an upgrade pacemaker.

 
The Treasurers report was given and was approved as read.

September 2019 Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:45pm by Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG) with 16 members in attendance, the pledge of allegiance was given by all.

Members in Distress:

Bev Walworth (KC8UJC) continues to make health improvements. George (N8EUY) has a problem with his laptop and is looking for some assistance at the woodlot where they are staying.

The Treasurers report was given a motion was made to accept it by Dave Claar (W8TUX) and seconded by Bob Rosebrock (WB8ZOI), all were in favor.

Hamfest Committee:

The Winter Hamfest is December 7th, 2019.  The location will be the Village of Delta Memorial Hall, the same location as last year. The event has been filed with the ARRL and preparations are under way.  Larry Fountain (KD8PUD) is once again allowing us use of his 8 foot folding tables to get as much sales space as we can.  The club will be reaching out to K8LI to get tickets printed.  The website is already updated for the times and location of the Hamfest.

The summer Hamfest is set for June 6, 2020.  The location will be at the Roth Family Woodlot again.

August 2019 Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Bryan Patterson (KB8ELG) at 7:30pm with 16 members in attendance, the pledge was given by all.  

Members in Distress:

Bev Walworth (KC8UJC) continues to recover from several health issues, please keep both George (N8EUY) and Bev in your thoughts. We did have Allen Nash (KC8UQU) in our company this evening who continues to improve from his hip surgery.

The treasures report was given and a motion to accept was made by Bill Lampe (KD8WSL) and seconded by Ed Roth (WD8KRS).

There was one bill to present for the flowers for Jim Roth's funeral.  On a side note, Ed Roth thanks the club for the attention and condolences.   

A motion to pay the bill was made by KD8PUD and seconded by W8TUX.
